A bold brand for a new European Arts conference
Aiming to inspire and motivate cultural marketing professionals, Arts Marketing Europe is a one day conference making it’s debut in Amsterdam in Spring 2017. With Brexit a big topic for the UK arts scene, it will be important to promote and continue global skill sharing in the sector. We were appointed to create the identity and visual language to launch and promote this exciting new conference.
With a vision to become ‘the must-attend’ conference in Europe for the arts and cultural marketing sector and with locations in planning to move around Europe, we wanted to create an identity with wide appeal, flexibility and real prominence.
To reflect the diverse, challenging themes and high profile speakers the conference aimed to showcase, we took a typographic approach to the identity. A quirky, playful typographic marque was established, with slightly odd letter forms to reflect the infinite themes and outcomes the conference hopes to provoke.
With a multi-layered programme that will be held in different cities each year, we wanted the identity to reflect this diversity and give flexibility to change imagery – from experiential, real people enjoying the conference, to hero images of the cultural cities that await attendees.
The brand launched in November 2017 and the conference has since attracted support from major cultural marketing influencers from across the world including Cas Boland, Head of Marketing for the Vangogh Museum and Chris Condron Head of Marketing for Tate.
We look forward to attending the inaugral conference in March 2018 and supporting the growth of the brand.
