Super excited to announce we’ve been appointed to work with the Arkwright Society and Cromford Mills to rebrand this pioneering charity and visitor destination, as well as create an exciting new website.
Cromford Mills, Derbyshire, has a fascinating past and is of international significance. Here, Sir Richard Arkwright developed technology that changed the world we live in. His construction of the world’s first successful water-powered cotton spinning mill in 1771 at Cromford Mills gave rise to the industrial revolution by creating the modern factory system.
The Arkwright Society who own the grade I listed mill, is both an educational charity and building preservation trust, dedicated to sustaining, enhancing and celebrating the international heritage of the site and the Derwent Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
We were appointed from a UK wide selection process following a credentials proposal and interview.
Having kicked things off today, we’ll be visiting next week to meet their team and volunteers, with workshops to follow in October.
Our team are over the moon to be involved in such an exciting project.
