Sarah here, I’m thrilled to announce I’m the new Co-Leader for Ladies Wine and Design Newcastle.
Super excited to join the team alongside fellow Co-Leader and Copywriter Dan Brough, Photographer and Stylist Marion Botella and Social Community Manager Jessie Mallinson.
Ladies Wine and Design Newcastle was founded by Juli Vignette, a kick ass lady from Columbia who came to Newcastle almost three years ago and whipped our female creative community into shape! Inspired by Jessica Walsh who started the initiative in NYC to support female creatives and work towards better representation for women in the industry, Juli joined the world wide group and started up the Newcastle Chapter.
Newcastle is now part of a global community of Ladies Wine and Designers, where we get together in small groups with the purpose of contributing to the local design scene and providing a safe space for female creatives to come together, share stories, learn and empower each other. Accompanied by wine of course.
After launching and running LW&D Newcastle for the past 3 years Juli has moved on to her next adventure in Berlin. I’m super sad to see her go but I feel extremely honoured to join the team and help look after this amazing community she has nurtured and grown.
I’m wasting no time in getting stuck in, and our February event will be online soon, it’s a hands-on one so watch this space!
