Putting on a Late Show in Baltic 39

The Late Shows is a free late-night cultural event in Newcastle and Gateshead. As usual ‘attendees’ of the Late Shows, we decided to switch it up and open our studio to the public on Friday 18th May! Part of a citywide programme of events, we were one of many museums, galleries, studio collectives and landmark historical buildings to open for the evening.

As we are based in Baltic 39, other studios opened too so there was a great buzz around the building as we showed off our work and welcomed people into the Altogether HQ! Beverages flowed, from our favourite brewery Steam Machine Brewing Co.

The Late Shows was the perfect opportunity to create some self-initiated work by creating a set of 6 neon & black prints inspired by the Late Shows after-hours theme. The prints were ‘pay as you feel’ and we were chuffed to make over £100 for the Newcastle food bank which we have matched.

Overall it was a great evening, we met some interesting folk and did our bit for charity to boot!
