We’re thrilled to be working with a cultural consortium and residents in Thurrock to co-create an identity for their Arts Council, Creative People and Places programme – START: Thurrock.
Led by Tilbury on the Thames Trust with support from Thurrock CVS, Royal Opera House, Thurrock Lifestyle Solutions CIC and Thurrock Council, START: Thurrock aims to encourage the community to not only take part in brilliant art experiences in their area, but to take the lead and choose what they want to create, see or experience in their local area. This is a programme that will be developed by the community, for the community.
With that in mind, we’re heading to Grays in Thurrock next week to start workshopping with residents and community groups to understand their vision for the identity and the wider programme. We can’t wait to hear their ideas, it promises to be a great few days of co-creation.
