Visitor communications to engage a broad audience.

Opened in 1998 to celebrate the river, the international sport of rowing and the town of Henley on Thames, the River & Rowing Museum is one of the UK’s leading independent Museums. Designed by renowned architects David Chipperfield the museum sits on the banks of the Thames. With over 116,000 visitors a year, the museum is ambitious to continue building and growing their audiences.

We have worked with the museum for several years to create all of their audience communications, from promoting special events to seasonal programmes, onsite signage to educational resources. We are proud of the close relationship we have with their team, working with them on a weekly basis to plan and design their collateral with audiences front of mind.

A vibrant illustration style reflective of the logo is used for events, family and educational audiences, where as subtle colours and large use of imagery appeals more broadly.

With such a diverse collection and changing events, the museum has to appeal to many audiences, from local family workshops and events to major exhibitions such as Matisse or Barbara Hepworth, the tone in the communications has to reflect this.

We continue to work closely with the museum to grow their audience reach through effective communications.
