Workforce Voices

We’re proud to be contributing to work that will help shape the future of our health and care services with our name and identity for Workforce Voices.

Funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR), this new research programme aims to tackle some of the biggest challenges in recruitment, retention and wellbeing across the health and care sector. With a particular emphasis on tackling inequalities, especially in remote and deprived areas. The project seeks not just to analyse the system, but to help reimagine it, guided by the lived experiences of staff, specialists, patients and communities.

The team brings together researchers from Newcastle, Northumbria, Oxford, Birmingham and York universities, NHS Integrated Care Boards and Healthwatch networks. It’s also supported by advisory groups, including staff members, patients and the public, as well as senior figures in the NHS and wider policy and regulatory organisations.

Our role was to create a name and visual identity that captures the ambition, impact and collaborative spirit of this national initiative.

The name and identity reflects that the project will be built on listening to people in health and care so they feel heard, included, and part of something that hopes to genuinely respond to their needs.

Visually, we created an inclusive community of voices. The colourful, illustrative voices interact and come to life across the communications to make the research programme feel open and welcoming to all views.

We’ve worked on a wide range of materials and more to come, from brand narrative, key messaging and guidelines to slide decks, website and print. We look forward to supporting
the team as this transformational research gets underway.
